Juan is the Global Head of Celent and leads the insurance practice across EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. He oversees global research and advises C‑level executives in financial services on fintech, insurtech, innovation, emerging technologies, and business transformation. With more than 30 years of experience in insurance and banking IT, Juan has been involved in launching pioneering initiatives including Latin America’s first reinsurance exchange, a direct insurance brand during the .com era, and the design of a digital direct insurer. He has supported tech strategies and greenfield operations across multiple (re)insurance lines.

A frequent industry speaker, conference contributor, and technology competition evaluator, Juan also teaches at several insurance-related academic institutions and mentors across industries. His consulting expertise spans core system and partner selection, innovation management, project and vendor oversight, market entry strategy, and due diligence.

Before Celent, he served as Corporate Vice President at Sistran, driving its expansion into 14 countries. He also brings strong HR transformation experience, having helped shape strategy for a 450‑person IT organization. At Celent, he continues to act as an agent of change, supporting transformation programs across global financial institutions.
