Duck Creek is excited to launch our annual Hatch-a-thon at Formation 2024 where we are Simplifying Together.
We invite our valued partners to present your hacks, processes, and product solutions that Simplify Complexity and advance the P&C industry!
The projects from our finalists will be highlighted to our customer community at Formation 2024! These projects will be voted on during Formation to declare the winners of this year’s Hatch-a-thon!
The winning teams will be recognized onstage at Formation and receive a prize package following the event.
Challenge
This year, we are Simplifying Complexity at Formation 2024. Your challenge is to harness your creativity to develop solutions that streamline workflows and tasks to unlock greater productivity and operational efficiency. Join us in hatching the future of insurance as we embrace the power of simplicity to conquer complexity!
Deadlines
- Idea Submission: Starting February 5, 2024 and closing on February 23, 2024
- Notification of Acceptance/Rejection: February 29, 2024
- Hatch-a-thon Tournament: March 3 to March 29, 2024
- Project Submissions: Projects must be submitted by 5 PM (EST) on March 29, 2024. The criteria for submission will be given to the teams participating in the tournament.
- Project Presentations: Teams of selected projects will present their projects to our esteemed judges. The format for the presentations will be given to the teams participating in the tournament.
- Finalists Selection: Teams of selected projects will present their projects to our esteemed judges. The format for the presentations will be given to the teams participating in the tournament.
- Conference Dates: May 21–23, 2024
Judging Criteria
Innovation
- Is your team’s idea novel? How different or original is the idea?
- How are tools and technology utilized?
Product Impact
- How does this idea enhance or advance products on the Duck Creek platform?
- Does it comply with Duck Creek’s development standards?
Business Impact
- What impact would this innovation have on businesses, individuals, or the world
- Is the idea realistic?
Execution
- Can the project be demonstrated?
- How well does the project work?
Submission Reminders
- Submissions open on February 5th, 2024. Please make sure you have finalized and submitted your application no later than February 23rd, 2024 at 8:00 PM. Don’t miss your chance to participate in the tournament.
- What are the participation requirements for the Hatch-a-thon?
- All customers and partners are invited to participate.
- Bring your idea and environment
- Bring your team (maximum of 4 members).
- Participating teams agree to be featured in Duck Creek media during and after the tournament.
- If selected as a finalist, the team agrees to have representative at Formation 2024, to represent the team.
